Simona has over 15 years of experience in Finance, Strategy and M&A roles in Bucharest, Paris and London. Having worked over 10 years in London in Corporate Development roles in 2 leading companies in their field, more recently as EMEA and MAR deal lead for Thomson Reuters, Simona brings to the table significant experience in strategy, executing deals, valuing companies within information services, healthcare and technology business models, and origination. During her career, she completed over 20 transactions and screened over 60 potential targets, and demonstrated a solid track record in building effective partnerships with the sellers.
In addition to the M&A experience, Simona had 2 more operational roles, being in charge with comparing outsourcing offers for major restructuring programme and with evaluating new product development business cases in Thomson Reuters. She started her career with PwC in audit and transaction services and qualified with ACCA. Simona holds a BA in International Relations from Al. I. Cuza University and an MBA degree from London Business School.
Gabriela has over 20 years of experience in private equity, transaction services and audit, working in Romania and Poland. Before joining Morphosis, Gabriela has worked for 9 years as an Investment Director for Innova Capital,a mid-market private equity fund focused on CEE. She has been involved in originating, executing, managing (as non-executive board member or observer) and exiting deals for Innova, being the head of the local investment team. Her role has also consisted of establishing a network of local contacts and keeping Innova partners up to speed with local market developments.
Partner & CFO
Dragos has over 15 years of experience in Finance and Board positions in Romania, Netherlands, Germany and Spain in multinationals such as Procter & Gamble, TNT and Beam Suntory. Before joining Morphosis, Dragos was Finance Director for Beam Suntory in Frankfurt and Madrid, with responsibility over more than 25 countries in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, including two Joint Ventures in Russia and South Africa where he was Non-Executive Board director while also supervising the local Finance teams.
In this role, he gained extensive experience in commercial finance, financial management, M&A, strategy and business development, as well as partnering with the business and driving growth in challenging environments. Before Beam Suntory, Dragos was Global FP&A Manager for TNT Express in Amsterdam, where he provided relevant reporting and analysis to the CEO, CFO and the Board. During that time, he participated in the integration of various acquisitions (Slovenia, China and two in Brazil) into the TNT systems and processes. Dragos has started his career with Procter and Gamble in Romania as a Financial Analyst.
Professor Florin Vasvari teaches Distressed Investing and Financial Restructuring, and Private Equity and Venture Capital. He is an expert on the use of accounting information in debt markets and private equity. His debt market research investigates the pricing and the role of accounting information in secondary debt markets. He covers issues on contracting in the syndicated loan market and public debt market, bond analyst and rating agency disclosures, collateralised loan obligations and private debt funds.
His work on private equity includes work on limited partners' private equity allocations, private equity valuation and performance measurement, private equity secondaries and aspects of risk management.
Professor Vasvari is a member of the editorial board of Adveq Research Series, The Accounting Review and Contemporary Accounting Research.
Adrian is focused on researching companies and industry trends, building financial models, company valuations, business plans and growth strategies for new investment opportunities. Adrian joined Morphosis Capital in 2019 from Brico Depot, a DIY retailer part of Kingfisher Group, where he was part of the team responsible for the M&A acquisition of the second largest DIY competitor on the Romanian market. Before Brico Depot, he worked at EY in the valuation and business modelling team and at Grant Thornton in their audit and advisory department.
Adrian graduated with a MSc in Business Accounting from Bucharest University of Economic Studies and is currently enrolled in a Postgraduate Degree in Financial Strategy at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
Team Assistant & Office Manager
Ioana is a young, yet determined and driven individual, with experience in administration, logistics and event coordination. With a bachelor's degree in Public Relations & Communications at the University of Bucharest, she specializes in New Media visibility, Strategic Planning and Media Monitoring. Having previously worked for McKinsey & Company as a Receptionist & Office Assistant, she joined Morphosis Capital in March 2019, working as a Team Assistant & Office Manager, ensuring a smooth communication between the company and any associates or third parties.
Sebastian holds a BA in Finance from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK. He spent three years in the University’s investment association, where he has developed methods to perform firm analysis, and taught these methodologies to other students. He has worked in the Hong Kong office of Metro Sourcing International Ltd as a Summer Management Trainee, and as a Finance Analyst for the leading Romanian e-commerce business, eMag. Other prior experience includes exchange semesters spent at Lingnan University in Hong Kong, and at the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied Computer Science.
